priated; the Comptroller of the Treasury is hereby authorized
and directed to draw his warrant upon the State Treasurer for
the above amounts and the said State Treasurer is hereby au-
thorized and directed to pay said sums hereby appropriated
upon said warrants.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 1st, 1914.

CHAPTER 222.

AN ACT to authorize the Governor to appoint two hundred (200)
additional notaries public for Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Governor be and with the advice and consent of
the Senate is hereby authorized to appoint two hundred addi-
tional notaries public for Baltimore City in addition to the
number now authorized by law, of whom not more than sixty
may be females.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 2nd, 1914.

CHAPTER 223.

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Elections,"
sub-title "Registrations," said new Section to be known as
Section 29-A, and to immediately follow Section 29 in said
Article, and to apply only to Prince George's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new Section be added to Article 33 of the Anno-
tated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Elec-
tions," sub-title "Registrations," said new Section to be known
as Section 29-A and to immediately follow Section 29 in said
Article and to read as follows:

29-A. Declarations of Intention mentioned in the preceding
Section may as an alternative method of making said Declara-
tions be made before the Board of Registry when in session of
