provisions of this Act, shall collectively as such Commission give
bond in the penalty of seven thousand dollars. All of the above
mentioned bonds shall be given to the State of Maryland with
security to be approved by the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Kent County, Maryland, with the condition that the obligors
shall well and faithfully execute the duties imposed upon them
by the provisions of this Act, and after the erection and com-
pletion of their respective public school houses, they each shall
turn over to the Board of County Commissioners for Kent
County all sums of money and property, if any there be,
remaining in their hands. All of the bonds provided for in
this Act shall be filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Kent County, Maryland, and be recorded by him, and the
expense of recording said bonds, together with the premium
paid a Surety Company therefor, if corporate bonds are ob-
tained, shall be paid out of the funds in the hands of the said
Commissions.
SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That each of the Commissions
heretobefore named, before purchasing their respective sites,
where sites are necessary to be purchased, and before contract-
ing for the building of their respective school houses, may set
aside and reserve out of the funds which they each shall respec-
tively receive from the County Commissioners for Kent County
as hereinbefore provided, such sums as they may deem necessary
for the equipment of their respective school houses, including
the cost of heating and lighting the same.
SEC. 17. And be it enacted, That as a preliminary and pre-
requisite to the exercise of the powers and authority hereby
granted and conferred, the sense of the legal voters of Kent
County shall be first taken and had thereto at an election to
be held for the purpose in Kent County, on the day of the
next ensuing election on the first Tuesday after the first Mon-
day in November, 1914, when the question shall be submitted
to the legal voters of Kent County as to whether or not bonds
shall be issued for erecting, building, constructing and equip-
ping the said four school houses in Kent County, under the
provisions of this Act. And at said election this question shall
be submitted on separate ballots prepared for the purpose by
the Supervisors of Elections of Kent County, which said bal-
lots shall have the words "For School-house Bonds," or
"Against School-house Bonds" thereon, and separate ballot
boxes shall be furnished for the purpose, and also for voting
upon any and all other bond issues which may be referred to the
