ized, empowered, directed, and required to levy and collect a
tax upon the assessable property in Allegany County at the
rate of seven (7) cents on the one hundred ($100. 00) dollars,
or such portion thereof as shall be deemed proper by the Board
of School Commissioners of Allegany County, the same to be
in addition to the tax already provided for in the preceding
Section hereof; of which said amount four-sevenths (4/7)
thereof shall be used for the purpose of purchasing new school
sites and of erecting new school buildings in said County, and
shall be used for no other purpose whatsoever; and the remain-
ing three-sevenths (3/7) thereof shall be used for the purpose
of repairing and improving school sites and school buildings in
Allegany County, and shall be used for no other purpose what-
soever; said taxes aforesaid to be levied and collected as other
taxes are, and paid over to the Treasurer of the Board of
School Commissioners of Allegany County when said new sites
have been purchased, or new buildings have been contracted
for and are in course of construction, or said repairs have been
ordered; provided, that all Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent
herewith are repealed in so far as they apply to Allegany
County.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 22.
AN ACT to amend and enlarge the powers of the Associated Pro-
fessors of Loyola College in the City of Baltimore, a corpora-
tion duly incorporated by the General Assembly of Maryland,
by the Act of Eighteen Hundred and Fifty-three, Chapter
One Hundred and Forty-one, as amended by the Act of
Eighteen Hundred and Eighty, Chapter Two Hundred and
Ninety-eight, and the Act of Eighteen Hundred and Eighty-
eight, Chapter Two Hundred and Eight.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Associated Professors of Loyola College in the
City of Baltimore, shall in addition to the powers heretofore
granted by the Acts of Assembly hereinbefore mentioned, be
capable in law to take, receive and hold, by purchase, sale, gift,
lease, grant, devise or, bequest, or in any other manner in which
title to property is acquired, any property, real, personal or
