220 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Maryland National Guard and the widow of one deceased mem-
ber (said death having been causepl by typhoid fever contracted
as hereinafter mentioned) for expenses incurred by them for
and on account of typhoid fever contracted while on duty and
in the service of the State at the Camp of Instruction held at
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, July 1-9, 1910.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Comptroller of the Treas-
ury be and he hereby is authorized and directed to issue his
warrants upon the Treasurer, payable to or upon the order of
the following named persons, each warrant to be for the amount
following each name, the total, however, not exceeding the afore-
said sum of three thousand three hundred and nine and 18/100
dollars ($3,309.18), to wit:

Sergeant J. Newman Numson, five hundred sixteen dollars
($516).

Sergeant Thomas S. Hall, three hundred fifty-one and 20/100
dollars ($351.20).

Private Clarence G. Boggs, one hundred sixty-three and
20/100 dollars ($163.20).

Private H. L. Joyce, four hundred thirteen and 35/100 dol-
lars ($413.35).

Private Howard S. Griffin, two hundred and fifty dollars
($250).

Private G. Alan Sheain, two hundred dollars ($200).

Private C. J. Hamilton, two hundred forty-two dollars
($242).

Private Frank Herbert, two hundred thirty-five and 60/100
dollars ($235.60).

Private Leo Hogan, one hundred forty-seven and 50/100 dol-
lars ($147.50).

Private Henry F. Robb, twenty and 72/100 dollars ($20.72).

And Mrs. Retta Boggs Heslop, widow of Sergeant Frank M.
Heslop, deceased, seven hundred sixty-nine and 61/100 dollars
($769.61).

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 1st, 1914.

CHAPTER 165.

AN ACT to provide for the medical examination of school chil-
dren and the promotiton of their health.
