SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

CHAPTER 136.

AN ACT to amend Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of the State of Maryland, title "Kent County," sub-title
"County Commissioners," by adding a new Section thereto,
empowering the County Commissioners of Kent County to
levy for and appropriate, in their discretion, any sum or sums
of money not exceeding seven hundred and twenty dollars
($720.00), for co-operative demonstration work in Kent
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Kent County," sub-title "County Commis-
sioners," be and the same is hereby amended by adding a new
Section thereto to follow Section 87, to be designated as Section
87-A-1, and to read as follows:

SEC. 87-A-l. That the Board of County Commissioners of
Kent County may, and they are hereby empowered to levy, ap-
propriate, and use in their discretion, under such rules and
regulations as they may prescribe, any sum or sums of money
not exceeding seven hundred and twenty dollars ($720.00) per
year for farmers' co-operative demonstration work in Kent
County, along the same line as this work is or may be conducted
by the United States Department of Agriculture, and may con-
duct such work jointly in Kent County with the agents and
representatives of the United States Department of Agricul-
ture, upon such terms and conditions as may be agreed upon
between the agent of the Department of Agriculture of the
United States and the Board of County Commissioners of Kent
County.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 137.

AN ACT to repeal Section Forty-one and Section Forty-eight of
Article Twenty-two of the Code of Public Local Laws of
