1708 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

is to be exclusively used for the purposes of this Act, and all
taxes levied and collected as hereinafter provided, and all mon-
ies collected from any assessments, sewer rentals or charges, or
from any other source for the use of said fund or on account
of said sewerage system or systems, shall also be kept as a sep-
arate fund by said Treasurer of Baltimore County.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That the County Commis-
sioners of Baltimore County be and they are hereby authorized
and directed to levy annually upon the assessable property in
Baltimore County, as a part of the annual levy in each year a
sum sufficient to pay the interest upon said bonds so by them
to be issued, and also the principal of said bonds as they respect-
ively mature and fall due.

SEC. 9. Upon the completion of any sewerage system in Balti-
more County the Board of County Commissioners of said County
shall have the power and authority with the approval or upon
the recommendation of the State Board of Health to require
any owner of property within a reasonable distance of any sewer
constructed, established or maintained under this Act, to con-
nect all water closets and toilets upon his property tnerewith,
the said sewers being intended for sanitary sewerage only, and
no storm or surface water or drainage shall be permitted to enter
or flow into said sewer or sewers, and any person or corporation
failing to make such connections within ten days after receiving
notice from said County Commissioners that such connection is
required to be made shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and pay
a fine of ten dollars for each and every day after the expiration
of said thirty days that such connection is not made, and the
directors of any corporation failing to make such connection
when so required shall each be guilty of a misdemeanor and
shall each pay a fine of ten dollars for each and every day said
corporation shall fail to make such connection after the expira-
tion of said period of ten days; said fines when collected to be
paid to the County Commissioners of Baltimore County, and to
be enforced and collected as other fines for the violations of
laws of the State of Maryland are enforced.

SEC. 10. Be it further enacted, That the said County Com-
missioners of Baltimore County may upon the completion or
establishment by purchase or otherwise of any sewerage system
by Baltimore County establish just and equitable annual charges
or rents for the use of such sewers to be paid by every one who
enters his sewer into the common sewer. All revenues derived
from annual rents or charges for the use of such sewers, in
