shall on the day preceding such election deliver to the Judges
of Election of each of said precincts the poll and registry
books of said precinct, and no person not appearing on said
books as a registered voter in such precinct may vote therein,
and on the Thursday following said election all said books
and all other records in reference to said election shall by such
judges be returned to said Supervisors of Election; the Judges
and Clerks of Election shall during the continuance of the
election so to be held by them and until the ballots are counted
be Conservators of the Peace and shall have the power and
authority to commit offenders for any breach of the peace in
the same manner as a Justice of the Peace might do under
existing laws in the State of Maryland. All the provisions
of the Public General Laws relating to corrupt practices which
apply to other elections held under the laws of this State shall
be held and taken to apply in like manner to this. The ex-
penses of said election, including compensation for the Judges
and Clerks of Election at the rates allowed similar officials
at general elections, shall be paid by the County Commissioners
of Baltimore County, who are authorized to levy a tax upon
the assessable property in Baltimore County for such sums as
may be necessary to pay said expenses.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That if the voters of Balti-
more County voting on the question shall by a majority vote at
the election aforesaid declare in favor of the issuance of said
bonds as provided in this Act, then for the purpose of project-
ing, constructing and establishing by purchase or otherwise
sewerage and drainage systems in and for Baltimore County,
the County Commissioners of Baltimore County be and they are
hereby authorized and empowered to borrow money on the faith
and credit of said County not to exceed in the aggregate one
million dollars, and to issue bonds therefor as hereinafter di-
rected, to be signed by the President of the said Board of
County Commissioners, and countersigned by the Treasurer of
said County and sealed with the corporate seal of the Board
of County Commissioners of Baltimore County affixed thereto.
SECTION 6. And be it further enacted, That said bonds shall
be known as "Baltimore County Sewerage Bonds," and shall be
issued in denominations of $500, with coupons attached thereto
for the payment of the interest thereon semi-annually on the
first day of January in each and every year until the maturity
thereof, said coupons to have the signature of the Treasurer of
Baltimore County printed or written thereon. Said bonds shall
