1656 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

88. The annual sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000)
is hereby appropriated for the support of the Maryland
State Normal School, located in Baltimore County; the
annual sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) is here-
by appropriated for the support of Normal School No. 2,
located at Frostburg; the annual sum of seven thous-
and dollars ($7,000) is hereby appropriated for the support of
State Normal School No. 3, located near Bowie in Prince
George's County—these appropriations to be paid in quarterly
installments by the Treasurer of the State of Maryland on the
warrant of the Comptroller to the Treasurer of the State Board
of Education, and to be applied by said Board to the payment
of teachers' salaries, clerical assistants, the purchase of appara-
tus, text books, fuel, light, stationery, and for other necessary
expenses in maintaining said Normal Schools; provided, how-
ever, that all the moneys herein appropriated shall be paid out
of the moneys received into the State Treasury out of the
public school tax.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That insofar as this Act applies to the Maryland State Normal
School of Baltimore, it shall not take effect until August 1,
1915, said date being the beginning of the scholastic and fiscal
year of said school.

CHAPTER 850.

AN ACT to amend the Charter of the City of Hagerstown by repeal-
ing the follow Sections of Article 22 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Washington County," as the
same are numbered and set forth in the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland of 1888, as legalized by Chapter 74 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of that year, and by
the supplements and amendments to said Article 22 as embodied
in Chapter 55 of the Acts of. 1892, Chapter 55, of the Acts of
1906 and Chapter 58 of the Acts of 1894 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, as follows: Section one hundred and sixty
(160), Section one hundred and sixty-one-V (161-V), Section
one hundred and sixty-one-W (161-W), Section one hundred
and sixty-one-X (161-X), Section one hundred and sixty-one-Y
(161-Y), Section one hundred and sixty-one-Z (161-Z), Section
one hundred and sixty-one-AA (161-AA), Section one hundred
