for the payment of the expenses of the County Treasurer for
Talbot ,County when out of his office on County business.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners, and the County Treas-
urer for Talbot County, be and they are hereby authorized and
empowered to employ an additional assistant in the County
Treasurer's office, who shall be an efficient stenographer and
typewriter, with a thorough knowledge of bookkeeping, at a
salary of not more than eight hundred dollars ($800.00) per
annum, to be paid monthly by the County Commissioners of
Talbot County.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 784.
AN ACT to repeal Section 745 of Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, entitled ''City of Baltimore," sub-
title "Police Commissioners," as the same was repealed and
re-enacted by Chapter 123 of the Acts of 1898, as repealed
and re-enacted by Chapter 425 of the Acts of 1900, as repealed
and re-enacted by Chapter 129 of the Acts of 1906, as repealed
and re-enacted by Chapter 234 of the Acts of 1908, as repealed
and re-enacted by Chapter 847 of the Acts of 1912, and to re-
enact the said Section with an amendment providing for the
increase of salary of sergeants detailed at Police Headquarters
to do clerical work.
