PHILLIPS LEE GOLDSBOROUGH, GOVERNOR. 1359

CHAPTER 773.

AN ACT to prohibit bathing or swimming, within 500 yards of
any dwelling house, in the waters in that portion of the West
Branch of the Patapsco Falls, commonly called "Winters
Mill Dam," in the Seventh Election District of Carroll
County, State of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall not be lawful for any person or persons to
bathe or swim, within 500 yards of any dwelling house, in the
waters in that portion of the. West Branch of the Patapsco
Falls, commonly called "Winters Mill Dam," near the Coal
Schute, along the Western Maryland Railroad, in the Seventh
Election District of Carroll County, State of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any person or persons vio-
lating the provisions of this Act, shall upon conviction before a
Justice of the Peace, be fined in a sum not less than one dollar
nor more than fifteen dollars for each and every offense; one-
half of said fine shall go to the informer and the other one-half
to the Public School Fund of Carroll County.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 13th, 1914.

CHAPTER 774.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, in so far as the
same applies to or affects Dorchester County, Section 160-E
of Article 33 of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, title "Elections," sub-title "Primary Elections," as
said Section was amended by Chapter 347 of the Acts of 1912
relating to the subject "Primary Elections," including the
provision for furnishing new registry books and transcribing
the names of qualified voters residing in Dorchester County
from the registry books in use to the new registry books, and
provding for the payment of the cost thereof by the County
Commissioners of Dorchester County.

WHEREAS, By Section 160-E of Article 33 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Elections," sub-title
"Primary Elections," as said Section was amended by Chap-
ter 347 of the Acts of 1912, relating to the subject "Primary
