and the powers and duties of the Public Service Commission
thereunder, as hereinafter more particularly set forth.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the company here-
by incorporated shall have the power to acquire any real estate
adjacent to such line of railway or any lateral or branch there-
of, and to develop and sell said property, and the said corpora-
tion shall have the power to acquire electrical properties, manu-
facture, furnish, sell and use electricity, electric power and light
in the different towns, and villages along the route of the said
railway and to contract for and furnish electric lights for light-
ing the streets, roads, public or private buildings in the differ-
ent towns along the route of the said railway, and for motive
power and other purposes, and the said corporation is hereby
authorized and empowered to lay, erect, construct, build or pur-
chase and operate lines of wire, tubes, posts, conductors; and con-
duits along, under and upon the streets, squares, lanes, alleys,
roads or ways whatsoever in Wicomico County or in any city or
town therein; provided, permission be first obtained from the
Board of County Commissioners, or if any town, then the per-
mission of the Town Commisioners, when such exist, but the
consent of the owner or owners of such property shall be first
had and obtained, unless the same shall be condemned according
to law, and shall have the power to connect the same with any
manufactory, public or private building, or other structure or
object, car or conveyance, and in general to manufacture, sell,
furnish, and supply electric light and power or stored electricity
for any and all purposes.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this Act
contained shall be taken or construed to exempt or release the
corporation hereby incorporated from the terms and provisions
of the Public Service Commission Law of Maryland, being
Chapter 180 of the Acts of 1910, or from the powers and duties
of the Public Service Commission under and by virtue of said
law with respect to railroad companies exercising their fran-
chises within the State of Maryland, and the company hereby
incorporated shall be fully subject to said law and to the powers
and duties of the Commission thereunder.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the capital stock of
the said corporation shall consist of one thousand (1000) shares
of the par value of one hundred dollars ($100) each, which said
stock shall be personal property with the privilege to the said
corporation to increase the same from time to time to five thous-
and (5000) shares, at thepar value of one hundred dollars ($100)
