on the list of approved high schools shall be excluded from this
group within two years from the first day of June, 1914.
The course of instruction in schools of the second group
may be extended to four years by the Board of County School
Commissioners by the employment of such additional teacher
or teachers as may be required by the State Board of Educa-
tion, provided that the salary of such additional teacher or
teachers shall be paid wholly by the said Board of County
School Commissioners; and in the school of the second group
where the course of instruction has been so extended to a four
year course, the graduates shall receive the same recognition
as graduates of schools of the first group. No promotions of
high school pupils from one grade to another, or graduation,
shall be made without the approval of the principal and the
County Superintendent.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 740.
AN ACT to prohibit the use of roller skates and coasters on the
public highways of Baltimore County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That no person shall use roller skates or coasters on the
roadbed of any public highway in Baltimore County.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any person violating any
provision of this Act shall be subject, upon conviction, to a fine
not exceeding Ten Dollars for each offense.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 741.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 2, 3, 6
and 7, of Chapter 387 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1906, entitled An Act to incorporate the
Maryland State Horticultural Society, and to appropriate a
sum of money therefor.
