PHILLIPS LEE GOLDSBOROUGH, GOVERNOR. 1291

WHEREAS, Worcester County is purdely an agricultural
County, its people being agriculturists, and are desirous of hav-
ing more demonstration work done in this Section, during the
growing season of crops, and

WHEREAS, It has been demonstrated during the past season
that there is nothing equal to having a man who is well posted
and a specialist along certain lines to be with them and show
them at the proper time, what to do and how to do it, and

WHEREAS, We believe that greater good can be done in this
way than in any other way with the State's money appropriated
for this kind of work by going to the farmer direct.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That authority be given the County Commissioners of
Worcester County to sell or lease to the Maryland Agricultural
College for demonstration work, any part or all of the Alms-
house farm in Worcester County, and the demonstration work
to be done under the supervision of the Maryland Agricultural
College.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 13th, 1914.

CHAPTER 738.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Worcester
County to issue bonds to an amount not exceeding twenty-five
thousand dollars for the purpose of building permanent
bridges across the public roads and highways within said
County and to levy and collect taxes for the payment of said
bonds.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That for the purpose of building permanent bridges across
the public roads and highways within the said County, the
County Commissioners of Worcester County or a majority of
the said Commissioners, be and they are hereby authorized and
empowered to issue coupon bonds on the faith and credit of
Worcester County, from time to time as in their judgment it
may seem advisable to an amount not exceeding twenty-five
thousand dollars as hereinafter provided; said bonds to be
rsigned by the President of the said County Commissioners and
