to follow Section 128, and to be known as Sections 129 and
130, and to provide for the payment of not less than Two Dol-
lars ($2.00) per diem to laborers employed by the Mayor and
City Council of Cumberland, Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That additional Sections to said Article are hereby added
to be known as Sections 129 and 130, and to read as follows:
"SEC. 129. The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland
shall pay to all laborers employed by them a sum not less than
Two Dollars ($2.00) per day
"SEC. 130. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.''

CHAPTER 99.
AN ACT to direct the President anad Town Commissioners of
Elkton, Maryland, to levy for the maintenance of the Singerly
Fire Engine and Hook and Ladder Company No. 1, of Elkton,
Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the President and Town Commissioners of Elkton in
making up its tax levy each year shall include two cents on each
One Hundred Dollars in said levy, for the maintenance and
equipment of the Singerly Fire Engine and Hook and Ladder
Company, of Elkton, Maryland.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That the Treasurer of the
Town of Elkton is authorized and directed to pay over to the
Treasurer of said Fire Engine and Hook and Ladder Company,
the amount of money arising from the levy of two cents on each
One Hundred Dollars of assessable property on or before the
first day of December, in each and every year.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
