CHAPTER 687.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 34 of
Chapter 450 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
at its session of 1896, title "Garrett County," sub-title "Loch
Lynn Heights."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 34 of Chapter 450 of the Acts of said Gen-
eral Assembly at its session of 1896, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
SEC. 34. That the said Council shall have the power to
license and regulate all coaches, carriages, carts, drays, omni-
buses, wagons, automobiles and other vehicles kept for hire or
hired in said town, and shall have the further power and au-
thority to license and regulate all and any of such vehicles
kept for such purposes at any place in Garrett County, when
called or used in said Loch Lynn Heights to transport a per-
son or persons, goods, wares or other merchandise to any other
place in said Loch Lynn Heights, or elsewhere, for hire.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 688.
AN ACT to repeal Section 2 of Chapter 430 of the Acts of 1888,
entitled "An Act to Incorporate the Community of Mountain
Lake Park,'' and to re-enact the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the said community is not to have, possess or ac-
quire -any political franchises whatsoever, nor any of those
powers ordinarily distinguishing public or municipal corpora-
tions from corporations or associations merely private; but
the sole objects and powers of the said community of Moun-
tain Lake Park, shall be to exercise those police and sanitary
