108 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

WHEREAS, Walter S. Young, of Prince George's County, has
erected for the Board of County School Commissioners of said
County a school building for which he received the sum of Ten
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($10,500), and upon which he
expended, for materials and labor, Eleven Thousand Two Hun-
dred and One Dollars and Ninety-Four Cents ($11,201.94),
therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of County Commissioners of Prince
George's County be and it is hereby authorized and directed
to levy, at its next annual meeting for that purpose after the
passage of this Act, the sum of Seven Hundred and One Dol-
lars and Ninety-Four Cents ($701.94), or such sum as it may
find after due investigation, has been expended upon the said
building by the said Walter S. Young in excess of the amount
received by him for that purpose; and shall pay or cause to be
paid the amount so levied to the said Walter S. Young.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved March 17th, 1914.

CHAPTER 87.

ACT to authorize the Mayor and Councilmen of Lonaconing
to issue bonds in amount not to exceed $8,000.00 to provide for
the construction of a bridge for pedestrians and vehicles over
the George's Creek on Union Street in the town of Lonacon-
ing, and providing for the submission of said bond issue to the
voters of said town.''

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and Councilmen of Lonaconing be and it
is hereby authorized and empowered to provide for the con-
struction of a bridge for pedestrians and vehicles over the
George's Creek on Union Street in the town of Lonaconing, and,
in order to pay for the same, to issue its bonds to an amount
not to exceed $8,000.00, and to sell said bonds, or so much thereof
as may be necessary for said purpose, to the highest bidder
therefor; said bonds to be signed by the said Mayor of the said
town of Lonaconing, attested by its Town Clerk, with the cor-
porate seal of said town attached; said bonds to be of such de-
nomination or denominations as may be provided by ordi-
