the town of Trappe in Talbot County, out of the County taxes
levied upon the property within the limits of the town of
Trappe, such sum of money, not exceeding the sum of Three
Hundred Dollars ($300.00) as may have been expended by the
Commissioners of the said town of Trappe for the repair and
maintenance of the road bed of the streets of said town; pro-
vided, that the sum of money so required to be paid to the Com-
missioners of the Town of Trappe shall not exceed, in any one
year, the sum actually used and expended by the said Commis-
sioners of Trappe upon the road bed of said streets; and pro-
vided further, that no money shall be paid hereunder, until and
unless the Commissioners of the Town of Trappe shall, on or
before December 31st of each year, file with the Commissioners
of Talbot County an itemized statement, with the vouchers,
showing the actual amount of money so used and expended by
the Commissioners of the Town of Trappe, upon the road bed
of the streets of said town.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 79.

AN ACT to amend Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of the State of Maryland, title "Talbot County," sub-title
County Commissioners," by adding a new Section thereto,
empowering the County Commissioners of Talbot County to
levy for and appropriate, in their discretion, any sum or sums
of money not exceeding one thousand dollars for co-operative
demonstration work in Talbot County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Talbot County," sub-title "County Commission-
ers, '' be and the same is hereby amended by adding a new Sec-
tion thereto, to follow Section 35 to be designated as Section
35-A, and to read as follows:

SEC. 35-A. That the Board of County Commissioners of Tal-
bot County may, and they are hereby empowered to levy, appro-
priate, and use in their discretion, under such rules and regu-
lations as they may prescribe, any sum or sums of money not
exceeding one thousand dollars ($1.000.00) per year for farm-
