SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Charles Beall, of Prince
George's county, be authorize to act in the double
capacity of Magistrate and Postmaster.

take effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT for the relief of Joseph M. Ebberts, late
sheriff of Frederick county.
|

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
af Maryland, That Joseph M. Ebberts, late sheriff
of Frederick county, be and he is hereby allowed
further time, until the first day of February,
eighteen hundred and sixty-three, to collect all
fines and forfeitures, and balances of fines and for-
feitures, now due to, and uncollected by him, and
he is hereby authorized and empowered to collect

the same in the manner provided by existing laws
for the collection of fines and forfeitures, provided,
that nothing herein contained shall prevent or de-
lay the. enforcement of their rights and remedies
by the Comptroller, county commissioners, or
others interested, provided, the said sheriff shall
make affidavit to be filed with the execution in
each case that the fine or forfeiture, in said execu-
tion specified, has not been paid to said sheriff.
