AN ACT to amend section three hundred and
fifty-four of Article four of the Code of Public
Local Laws, for the city of Baltimore, relating
to Gangers of Casks and Inspectors of Domestic
Distilled Liquors.

Amended.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section three hundred and fif-
ty-four of Article four of the Code of Public' Local
Laws for the city of Baltimore, relating to Gua-
gers of Casks and Inspectors of Domestic Distilled
Liquors, be amended and re-enacted so as to read
as follows :

354. The Governor, by and with the advice and
consent of the Senate, shall biennially appoint four
Guagers of Casks and Inspectors of Domestic Dis-
tilled Liquors, who, before they proceed to act as
such, shall apply to the Clerk of the Court of Com-
mon Pleas of Baltimore city, and on paying each
the sum of one hundred dollars to said Clerk,
shall be entitled to receive a license to act as
Gauger of Casks and Inspectors of Liquors for the
term of two years from the date thereof.
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to compensate William Segafoose, late
Sheriff of Carroll county, for services rendered
under a requisition of the Governor.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to pay, upon the
warrant of the Comptroller, to William Segafoose,
or order, the sum of fifty dollars, for services ren-
dered under a requisition of the Governor.
|

Sec 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.
