AN ACT to allow John J. Ogden, late Sheriff of
Calvert county, further time to complete his col-
lections.
|

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John J. Ogden, late Sheriff of
Calvert county, be and he is hereby authorized and
empowered to collect all fees and claims due him
as such. Sheriff, in the same manner and as fully,
to all intents and purposes, as if the original time
allowed by law had not expired.

Sec. 2. This act shall take effect from, the day of
its passage, and shall continue in force for two
years and no longer.

AN ACT to amend section sixty two of Article
eighty-one of the Code of Public General Laws,
relating to the redemption of Real Estate sold for.
Taxes.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland That section sixty-two, Article eigh-
ty-one, of the Code of Public General Laws, re-
lating to the redemption of real estate sold for
taxes, be and the same is hereby amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows :

Sec. 2. Whenever real estate shall be sold by a.
collector, the owner thereof may redeem the same
by paying to the purchaser thereof, within the
period of two years from the date of such sale, the
amount of the purchase money, with interest there-
on at the rafe of fifteen per cent, per annum from
the date of the sale.
