and grading the land, to the planting of trees,
shrubbery, flowers, and all other adornments, em-
bellishments and improvement, of the said grounds
and to such other necessary or incidental expenses
as may become necessary or expedient in carrying
out the designs and purposes of this act.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That whenever any
other lands may be purchased by said corporation,
as auxiliary to or connected with the above Ceme-
tery, they shall have all the powers, rights, privi-
leges and authority conferred by this act, and all
others that may be necessary for creating a stock,
issuing certificates, making dividends, as the cir-
cumstances in such cases may reasonably require,
in relation to such purchased lands.

Vested rights.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That the said corpor-
ation shall have the power to make such by-laws
and regulations for the management of the said
company and its affairs as they, from time, to time,
may deem necessary, consistent with the General
Laws of the State, and that they shall have power
to employ agents or persons to attend to the neces-
sary business of the body, and pay for the same
out of the funds of said company, and, also, power
to regulate the government of holders and visitors
to the Cemetery.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That if any person
shall wilfully or needlessly destroy, mutilate, re-
move, injure or deface any tomb, monument, grave,
stone or other structure, placed in said Cemetery, or
any wall, fence, railing or other work or structure,
for use, protection, ornament, or shall wilfully or
needlessly destroy, cut, break or remove any tree,
shrub, bush or plant, within the limits of said
Cemetery, or shall shoot or discharge any fire-
arms within the limits of said Cemetery, shall be
considered guilty of a misdemeanor and liable to
presentment and indictment by the grand jury,
and to conviction and punishment by the court by
fine or fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of
the court, or by punishment by fine or fine and

warrant or complaint; provided, that in no case
shall the fine exceed fifty dollars, and that such
