CHAPTER 61

AN ACT to amend section eighty of Article two
of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to
the pay of County Commissioners of Anne
Arundel county.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section eighty of Article two
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne Arun-
del county be amended and re-enacted, so as to
read as follows:

Sec. 80. The said Commissioners shall receive
three dollars per day, each, for every day they
shall necessarily attend to the duties of their of-
fice, and one dollar for every twenty miles they
may have to travel to their place of meeting.
|
Compensa-
tion.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after its passage.
|

CHAPTER 62.

AN ACT to refund to Sarah J. Offutt, executrix .
of James W. Offutt, deceased, a certain sum of
money erroneously paid by her into the Trea-
sury.
|

11, 1864.
|
WHEREAS, Sarah J. Offutt, executrix of James
W. Offutt, deceased, in the settlement of her sev-
eral accounts in the Orphans' Court for Allegany
county, returned inadvertently certain moneys and
received commissions thereon, and paid into the
Treasury the State tax on the same, of one-tenth
of her commissions, which said several accounts
have since been re-stated by the Orphans' Court
of said county, whereby it fully appears that she
over-paid said taxes by the sum of twenty-three
dollars and thirty-four cents; Therefore,
