is here by authorized and directed to issue like cer-
tificates for the amount of the interest which was
due on said award at the time of issuing said cer-
tificates for the principal; said additional certifi-
cates to be dated, to bear interest, and to be paya-
ble out of the same fund as the said certificates
already issued.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That upon the deliv-
ery of said certificates the said Passmore M'Cul-
lough, and his assigns, shall execute and deliver
to the Treasurer a release to the State of Maryland
of all claims under said original act, and the sup-
plements thereto.

CHAPTER 404.

 

AN ACT to incorporate the Hagerstown Stage
Company, for the purpose of running a line of
stages from Frederick city, through Hagerstown,
to Hancock and to other points.

10, 1864.

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Isaac Nesbitt, B'enjamin A.
Garlinger, W. H. Prestman, Otho Swingley, Sam-
uel Wrick, Martin Braley, A. J. R. Magruder,
George G. Middlekauff, Peter Negley, John G.
Knobe, shall be and they are hereby created and
made a corporation or body politic, by the name
and style of the Hagerstown Stage Company, and
by that name shall have succession, and be capa-
ble by law to hold and dispose of real and per-
sonal property, by deed or otherwise, to sue and
be sued, to plead and be impleaded, to answer and
defend, and be answered and defended, in courts
of law and equity, or any other place whatsoever,
and to receive and make all deeds, transfers, con-
tracts, conveyances and grants whatsoever, and
generally to do every other act or thing necessary
to effect the provisions of this act.
