the House of Refuge, fifteen thousand dollars.
PUBLIC DEBT.
For the payment of the interest on the public
debt of this State, that is to say: the interest fall-
ing due quarterly on the currency debt of the
State, four hundred and twenty thousand dollars;
and the interest on the public debt falling due
semi-annually, and payable in London, including
the cost of exchange, remittance and commission,
three hundred and forty-thousand dollars; for the
payment of the interest of the Bounty Loan of
eighteen hundred and sixty-four, one hundred and,
eighty thousand dollars; for the paynjent of the
interest on the bonds of the Annapolis and Elk
Ridge Railroad Company, issued under chapter
three hundred and forty-seven of eighteen hundred
and forty-six, two thousand seven hundred and
twelve dollars and twenty-five cents.
MISCELLANEOUS.
To the Night Watchmen of Public Buildings,
four hundred and twenty dollars each, making
eight hundred and forty dollars; to the person
employed to take care of the Public Buildings and
Grounds, three hundred and sixty dollars; to the
Keeper of the, Steam House, and of the Furnace of
the Record Buildings, four hundred and twenty
dollars; and to his Assistant, three hundred and
sixty dollars; to the Messenger to the Governor,
five hundred dollars.
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer
of the State shall, upon the warrant of the Comp-
troller of the Treasury Department, disburse the
said sums of money herein appropriated for the
objects and purposes specified, to or upon the order
of the person or persons, bodies politic or corpo-
rate, severally entitled thereto; and that the sev-
eral public officers to whom the same, or any part
thereof may be paid, shall render quarterly, to
the Comptroller, accounts of the expenditure
thereof, with the proper vouchers, verified by affi-
davit, excepting such part as may be disbursed
out of the Executive Contingent Fund, upon the
