CHAPTER 354.

 

AN ACT to authorize George E. Sangston, late
Clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore city,
to pay over to George E. Sangston, Jr., the sum
fix hundred and eight dollars and twenty-seven
cents, being the amount of an order on said
Clerk from William H. Purnell, late Comptroller
of the Treasury, for work done in said office
under the Clerkship of Edward Dowling.

Passed Mar.
7, 1864.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That George E. Sangston, late
Clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore city, be
and he is hereby authorized and empowered to pay
over to George E. Sangston, Jr., the sum of six
hundred and eight dollars and twenty-seven cents
out of any surplus funds he, the said George E.
Sangston, may have on hand as Clerk of said
court after paying for the unfinished business of
said office; the said sum being the amount of an
order on said George E. Sangston from William
H. Purnell, late Comptroller of the Treasury, for
work done in said Clerk's office during the Clerk-
ship of Edward Dowling.

Authorized to
pay.

Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after its passage.
