AN ACT to incorporate a company to make a
turnpike road from Dulany 's Valley to the Lit-
tle Falls of the Gunpowder.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That a company is hereby incor-
porated to make a turnpike road, which shall begin
at a point on the Dulany's Valley and Towson-
town turnpike at or near the Old Stone Tavern
and terminate an the Little Falls of the Gunpow-
der at or near Manor Glen farm.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the capital stock
of said company shall be fifty thousand dollars in
shares of twenty-five dollars each.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the subscription
books of said company shall be opened at Towson-
town on or before the first day of June next, for
subscriptions for the capital stock of said company,
and that John Curtis, John Piersol, George H.
Merryman, Benjamin Ridgely, William Price,
Joshua Bosley, George Cole and Joshua Hutch-
ings, be and they are hereby appointed Commis-
sioners to receive such subscriptions.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That when two hun-
dred shares of said stock shall have have been sub-
scribed, the said Commissioners shall give twenty
days notice to the subscribers to meet at a time
and place to be fixed by the said Commissioners,
for the purpose of organizing said company, and
the said subscribers, at such meeting, shall elect a
President and five Directors, to serve until the
first Monday in January thereafter, and until
their successors shall be elected and qualified; and
the stockholders of said company shall annually,
on the first Monday in January, or within sixty
days, thereafter, elect a President and five Direc-
tors.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That the stockholders
of said company are hereby created a body politic
and corporate by the name of the Dulany's Valley
and Little Falls Turnpike Company, and by that
name shall have perpetual succession, and shall
