such tobacco shall be packed in a larger hogshead,
the Inspector having charge of the warehouse in
which the same may be, shall notify the owner or
his agent thereof, and refuse to inspect and pass
the same, until packed in a hogshead of proper
dimensions.

Sec. 43. Be it enacted, That each of said In-
spectors shall every three months, counting from
the date of his appointment, furnish to the Comp-
troller a faithful, accurate and detailed account of
all the receipts and disbursements of his office,
which account shall be verified by the following
affidavit to be made and subscribed by said Inspec-
tor and his Chief Clerk before some Justice of the
Peace, of the City of Baltimore, viz: "State, of
Maryland, City of Baltimore, to wit: I, the sub-
scriber a Justice of the Peace, of the State of Mary-
land, in and for the City of Baltimore, hereby cer-
tify that on this ———— day of ———— 18 — A. B.
a Tobacco Inspector, personally appeared before
me and made and subscribed the following oath or
affirmation, I, A. B., Tobacco Inspector do solemn-
ly swear (or affirm) on the Holy Evangely of Al-
mighty God, that the above account is just and
true as stated, that I have charged myself therein
with all the moneys I have received or which to my
knowledge have been paid by any one other than
myself, to any one employed or engaged in any
warehouse of which I have had charge as Inspector,
for any of the duties or emoluments thereof, or for
anything done in connection therewith, for the
period embraced in said account, that I have claim-
ed credit therein for no moneys which I have not
actually and in good faith paid, and that I have
not received, or agreed to receive, and do not ex-
pect, and will not accept any portion of, or any
commission on, or any gratuity for any moneys for
which I have therein claimed credit, that I have
without favor, affection or partiality to any one
performed the duties of said office as economically
as was compatible with the efficient discharge
thereof, and at the same time also appeared be-
fore me; C. D. Chief Clerk of the said A. B. and
on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, made'
oath as follows, viz: I, C. D., Chief Clerk of A. B.
Tobacco Inspector have carefully read the above
oath made by him, and swear on the Holy Evange-
