than one third in number of the shares of said
stock, and upon ten days notice thereof.

cise banking
privileges.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted. That the said corpo-
ration shall not exercise banking privilege, or is-
sue any note, token or scrip, to circulate as cur-
rency.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to amend and re-enact sections four
hundred and sixty-four, four hundred and sixty-
seven, four hundred and sixty-nine, and four
hundred and seventy of Article four of the Code
of Public Local Laws, entitled, City of Balti-
more, and to add new sections to said Article.

Amended and
re-enacted.
|
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That sections four hundred and sixty-
four, four hundred and sixty-seven, four hundred
and sixty-nine, and four hundred and seventy of
Article four of the Code of Public Local Laws,
entitled, City of Baltimore be respectively amended
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

Comptroller.

464. He shall within the first five days of every
quarter, upon his oath, taken before a Justice of
the Peace of said city, make a full statement of all
receipts for weighing, and from whom received,
and of all disbursements by him made to the Comp-
troller, and shall pay over to said Comptroller all
balances that may be in his hands.
