CHAPTER 318.

Passed Mar.
7, 1864.

AN ACT to authorize and empower Levi Price,
John S. Ensor, John Price, Evan Matthews and
John Matthews, to sell a certain school house
and lot, held by them, in trust for school pur-
poses.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it is represented to the General As-
sembly of Maryland, that Joel Price and Edith
Price, his wife, on the first day of April, in the
year eighteen hundred and fifty-one, conveyed to
Levi Price, John S. Ensor, John Price, Evan
Matthews, and John Matthews, a lot of ground,
being a portion of a tract of land, called Sammy's
Meadows Enlarged, for school purposes, and they
built thereon, soon after said conveyance, a school
house at considerable expense, and said house is
no longer used for school purposes; therefore,

Authorized
to sell and con-
vey property.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the said Levi Price, John
S. Ensor, John Price, Evan Matthews and John
Matthews, be and they are hereby authorized and
empowered to sell and convey, in fee simple, the
said lot of ground, with the house thereon, to any
purchaser, and apply the proceeds thereof to the
payment of the expenses of building said house,
and to pay the balance, if any, to the Treasurer
of Baltimore county, for the use of the public
schools in said county.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.
