and annually on the first Monday of December in
each year and every year thereafter, the holders of
the said capital stock shall meet at such place as
shall be designated by the President and Directors
of said Company, of which due notice shall be giv-
en by publication once a week for at least two con-
secutive weeks in some newspaper published in
the said county, prior to said day, of the time and
place of such meeting and its purposes, then and
there choose a President and five Directors to man-

age and Conduct the affairs of said Company.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage .

CHAPTER 309.

 

AN ACT to add new sections to Article twenty-
two of the Code of Public Local Laws of Worces-
ter county, for protection of Partridges

Passed Mar.
9, 1864

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That no person or persons shall trap
or shoot, or in any manner catch or kill any Par-
tridges, in Worcester county, between the fifteenth
day of February and the fifteenth day of October
in each year.

Sec. 2 And be it enacted, That it shall not be
lawful for any person or persons to trap, or shoot,
or in any manner catch or kill any Partridges in
the county aforesaid, at any season, in any year,
during the night time

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That any person vio-
lating either of the preceding sections of this arti-
cle, shall pay a fine of five dollars for each and
every offence, to be recovered before a Justice of
the Peace, one hall of said fine to go to the School
fund and the other half to the informer
