AN ACT to re-enact and continue in force an act
passed at January session, 1858, chapter 103,
entitled " An act to incorporate the Columbia
and Port Deposit Railroad Company," and to
make certain amendments thereto.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That all the provisions of the said
act, except so much thereof as are hereby al-
tered or supplied, be and the same are hereby
fully revived and re-enacted and continued in force;
provided, that the said road shall be commenced
within three years from and after the passage of
this act.

Sec. 2. That the said company may extend their
road or any part thereof to any point or points on
the Chesapeake Bay, or any tributary or arm
thereof, and may connect their said road or any
part thereof with any road or roads that is, or are,
or may hereafter be constructed adjacent thereto.

Sec. 3. And the said Company may purchase or
lease from the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Bal-
timore Railroad Company the road or road-bed
now laid out and graded from Port Deposit, con-
necting with the said Philadelphia, Wilmington
and Baltimore Railroad at or near Perryville, or
any part thereof, together with all the rights,
privileges and franchises, or any part thereof,
thereto belonging.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That all appropria-
tions made by law to the said Columbia and Port
Deposit Railroad Company shall attach to and be-
come vested in the said Company as effectually to
all intents and purposes as if the charter thereof
had not expired.

Sec. 5. That whenever ten miles or more of the
said road in any section or sections shall have been
completed, the said company may use and enjoy
the same as fully and with the same powers and
privileges as if the whole route were completed.
