CHAPTER 272.

 

AN ACT to pay John T. Wright a sum of money
for services rendered by him as Messenger to the
Senate.

Passed Mar.
8, 1864.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer of the State be
and he is hereby authorized and directed to pay
upon the warrant of the Comptroller of the State
to John T. Wright, the sum of two hundred dol-
lars for Services rendered by him as Messenger to
the Senate, under an order passed by the Senate,
from the tenth day of March, eighteen hundred
and sixty-two, to the sixth day of January,
eighteen hundred and sixty-four.

Authorized
to pay.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect and go into operation from the day of
its passage.

In force.

CHAPTER 273.

 

AN ACT to make valid a deed from John Thomas
Adams and Mary A. Adams, his wife, to the
Vestry of Coventry Parish of Somerset and
Worcester counties.

Passed Mar.
7,1864.

WHEREAS, by deed dated the twenty-fifth day of
September, eighteen hundred and forty-five, the
said John Thomas Adams and Mary A. Adams,
his wife, conveyed to the Vestry of Coventry
Parish in Somerset and Worcester counties, a cer-
tain parcel of land described in said deed; and
whereas, the said deed was executed and acknow-
ledged before John Showacre and J. L. Maguire,
two of the Justices of the Peace of the State of
Maryland, in and for Baltimore city; and, where-
as, there is no certificate annexed or attached
to said deed from and by the Clerk of the

Preamble.
