SECTION 1. B e it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the last will and testament of
Edward Wright, late of Dorchester county, de-
ceased, so far as the same gives and bequeaths to
his seven negroes, named Moses, Mary, John, Pe-
ter, Diana, James and Harriet, their freedom from
slavery immediately on his decease, and so far as
it gives and bequeaths unto his nine negroes,
named Jacob, David, Stephen, Littleton, Henna,
Caroline, Amanda, Isaac, Henry, Mary, and his
mulatto William, and unto the children that any
of his said negroes may or shall have born of her
or their bodies, their freedom whenever they sev-
erally shall have arrived at the age of thirty years,
be and the same is hereby made valid and effectual
in law to all intents and purposes, to confer free-
