said debts are extinguished; and account for the
nett proceeds of the same, as Executors of William
H. Acworth, in the same manner as if the same
had been personalty of said Acworth at the time
of his death.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the Orphans'
Court of Somerset county are hereby empowered to
allow a commission to said Executors on the sales
of said personalty, and such further allowances as
they may deem reasonable for the care and trouble
of said Executors in and about said business.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That in adjusting
said account, the said Orphans' Court shall, as far
as practicable, equalize the expenses, so that each
devisee shall only bear his ratable proportion of
the debts, and have contribution from his co-
devisees for any excess.

take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate The Allegany Land Im-
provement Company.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That William Schley, Cadwala-
der Ringgold, Samuel Ringgold Schley, and such
other persons as may become associated with them
in manner as hereinafter mentioned, shall be, and
they are hereby constituted a body politic and cor-
porate, by the name of " The Allegany Land Im-
provement Company," and by that name shall
have succession, and be liable to sue and be sued,
to plead and to be impleaded in any Court whatever,
and may have and use a common seal, and may
alter and renew the same at pleasure; and the said
body corporate shall have all the powers, faculties,
franchises and rights necessary, proper or conveni-
ent for acquiring, holding, managing, working,
