educational object of the act for its creation; there-
fore.

priated.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assem-
of Maryland, That the sum of two thousand dol-
lars be and hereby is appropriated for the relief of
said institution.
|
|
In force.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage; and the
Comptroller shall issue his warrant to pay said
sum to the order of the Treasurer of said seminary.

AN ACT to make valid certain proceedings of
George Moore and Thomas B. Moore, Executors
of William H. Acworth, deceased, late of Som-
erset county.
|
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, William H. Acworth did constitute
George Moore and Thomas B. Moore, Executors
of his last will and testament, and his personal
estate was insufficient to discharge his debts, where-
by his realty was liable to. sale, and great loss
would have resulted to his devises; and said Exe-
cutors, with the assent of most of his creditors,
and hisdevisesof fullage, did cut and sell quantities
of timber, wood and sawed logs, (for the purpose
of exonerating said real estate, and benefiting his
devises,) from the real estate of said testator, and
have applied the same to the extinction of said
liabilities; wherefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That said proceedings of said George
and Thomas B. Moore, Executors as aforesaid, are
hereby made valid, and they are hereby authorized
to cut additional timber, wood, sawed logs and
staves, from the real estate of said testator, till
