CHAPTER 208.

AN ACT to allow Josiah Kerr, late Sheriff of
Dorchester county, further time to complete his
collections of fees.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Josiah Kerr, late Sheriff
of Dorchester county, be and he is hereby allowed
until the first day of March, in the year eighteen
|

hundred and sixty-five, to complete his collections
of fees; provided, that the said Josiah Kerr, be--
fore proceeding to enforce payment of fees which
may appear by his books to be due, shall make
affidavit to each account for fees which he may
present, stating that the same has not been pre-
viously paid to him.

Proviso.
|
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.
|

AN ACT to release from the payment of interest,
the sureties on the official bond of the late Joseph
H. Cooksey, late Clerk for Charles county, in
the years eighteen hundred and fifty-eight and
eighteen hundred and fifty-nine.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Trea-
sury be directed to release the sureties on the offi-
cial bond of the late Joseph H. Cooksey, Clerk of
the Circuit Court for Charles county, for the years
eighteen hundred and fifty-eight and eighteen
hundred and fifty-nine, from the further payment
of interest on the debt due the State of Maryland
