CHAPTER 206.

AN ACT to prohibit the granting of Licenses for
the sale of Spirituous or Fermented Liquors or
Lager Beer at or near Woodbury Factory, in
Baltimore county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That hereafter it shall not be lawful
for the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Baltimore
county to issue license to any person or persons to
sell spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer at
Woodbury Factory, or at any place nearer than
three-fourths, of a mile in every other direction.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after the date of its passage.

AN ACT supplement to an Act of the General
Assembly of Maryland entitled an act to author-
ize the persons therein named to build a
Methodist meeting-house on the public grounds
in Chestertown in Kent county, passed at No-
vember session of eighteen hundred and one.
|

WHEREAS. It has been represented to this Gen-
eral Assembly that the Commissioners appointed
by the Act of Assembly at November session of
eighteen hundred and one, to authorize certain
person's therein named to build a Methodist meet-
ing-house on the public ground in Chestertown,
Kent county, in pursuance of authority therein
contained, laid off a lot of ground ninety by fifty
feet wide, and the Trustees of the Methodist Epis-
copal Church named in said act erected a church
on part of the ground so laid off; and whereas,
the balance of the said lot, measuring fifty by for-
ty-four feet, not occupied by the said church, has
