CHAPTER 192.

 

AN ACT to compensate Arthur J. Willis for ser-
vices rendered, and expenses incurred, in organ-
izing a Regiment for the defence of the Country.

Passed March
9, 1864.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasu-
ry, be and he is hereby directed to draw his war-
rant upon the Treasurer, in favor of Arthur J.
Willis, for the sum of two hundred and twenty-
nine dollars and fifty cents, in full of claim for
for services rendered and expenses incurred in rais-
ing a" Regiment of Volunteers, for the defence of
the Country;

Money appro-
priated.

Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 193.

 

AN ACT to make valid the Bond of the Register
of Wills for Caroline county.

Passed Mar.

7, 1864.

SECTION 1. Be its enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the bond of George H. Moore,
Register of Wills for Caroline county, executed
and approved by the Judges of the Orphans'
Court for said county on the twenty-sixth day of
January, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, - and
recorded in Liber R. J., number thirty, one of the
records in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for said county, be and the same is hereby
made and declared to be as valid and as legal as if
the same had been executed and approved on or
before the thirty-first day of December, eighteen
hundred and sixty-three.

Bond made
valid.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said bond
shall afford as ample protection to the said Regis-
ter in the emoluments, immunities, tenure and
