CHAPTER 19.

Passed Feb.
9, 1864.

AN ACT to change the name of the Opossum Hill
School House in Caroline county to the Concord
School House, and granting the Trustees the
privilege of moving the school house at Opossum
Hill to or near Concord meeting house, or if
deemed better by said Trustees, to sell said
school house and lot, and build one at or near
said meeting house.

Name changed

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the name of the Opossum Hill
School House be changed to the Concord School
House.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the Trustees
shall have the privilege of moving the school house
at Opossum hill to or near Concord meeting house,
or if deemed better by said Trustees, to sell said
school house and lot, and build one at or near said
meeting house.

take effect from, the date of its passage.

 

CHAPTER 20.

AN ACT to change the name of Robert William
Bowie to William Truman Stoddert.

Name changed

SECTION 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the name of Robert William
Bowie, infant son of Bettie Bowie, of Charles
county, in the State of Maryland, be and the same
is hereby changed to William Truman Stoddert.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from and after its passage.
