Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the proceeds
arising from the sale of said property shall be paid
to the School Commissioners of Baltimore county,
who shall apply the same to the purchase of a
suitable lot, and the erection of a school house
thereon, for the use of a public school to be located
in the village of Calverton, in said county.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

A BILL entitled, an act to amend the fifty-sixth
section of the Code of Public General Laws, re-
lating to Licenses, so as to make exposing for
sale, sufficient proof of selling, without license.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the following additional sec-
tion is hereby added to the fifty-sixth article of
Public General Laws, on the subject of licenses :
In any prosecution for bartering or selling any
goods, wares or merchandise, or spirituous or fer-
mented liquor or lager beer without license, it
shall be sufficient for the State to prove that the
party indicted exposed or offered for sale such
goods, wares, merchandise, or fermented liquor or
lager beer, or kept any store or place at or in which
goods, wares or merchandise, or spirituous or fer-
mented liquor or lager beer were exposed or offered
for sale.
