was at least thirty feet wide; provided, however,
that said road shall be condemned and laid out on
the bed of the present road, from Catonsville to
the Rolling Road, which has been used by the
public as a public highway for tip wards of thirty
years.

AN ACT to incorporate the Meredith's Ford and
Jarrettsville Turnpike Company in Baltimore
and Harford counties.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a company be, and the same is
hereby incorpprated to make a turnpike road, be-
ginning for the same on the northeast side of the
Great Gunpowder Falls, about one hundred feet
from the said northeast bank of said Gunpowder
Falls, and running and occupying the bed of the
old York road, as far as practicable, the said turn-
pike company's road, running from said beginning,
and terminating at Jarrettsville, in Harford
county.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That for the making
of said road, subscription books shall be opened
for a capital stock of fifty thousand dollars, in
shares of twenty-five dollars each, at Towsontown,
Baltimore county, at Badder's old tavern stand, on
the old York road in Baltimore county, and at
Jarrettsville, in Harford county, by or under the
directions of all, or a majority of the following
Commissioners: Benjamin V. Richardson, John
B. Pearce, Joshua Hutchins, James Parker,
Thomas Emory, John R. Street, William Bad-
ders, William Jarrett, and James Scharf!, on or
before the first day of May, eighteen hundred and
sixty-four, and continue them open until three
