LAWS OF MARYLAND

Levy to be
made.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the Commis-
sioners of said county be and they are hereby au-
thorized and required to levy upon the assessable
property in said county, a sum of money sufficient
to pay for the copy aforesaid, at the rate of ten
cents per hundred words, to be collected and paid
over to the said Register, as are other county
charges.

In force.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

 

CHAPTER 151.

24, 1864.

AN ACT to add to the fourth Article of 'the Code
of Public Local Laws, the following section, to
confirm, ratify and legalize an ordinance, and
the various supplements thereto, entitled, "An
ordinance to provide for the defence of the city
of Baltimore, by paying a bounty to volunteers
who may enlist, under the call of the President

of the United States, bearing date June fifteenth,
eighteen hundred and sixty-three, to form the
quota of said troops that may be apportioned to
said city," approved June eighteenth, eighteen
hundred and sixty-three.

section.

SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That ordinance number, fifty of the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, entitled, An
ordinance to provide for the defence of the city of
Baltimore, by paying a bounty to volunteers who
may enlist under the call of the President of the
United States, bearing date June fifteenth, eighteen
hundred and sixty-three, to form the quota of
troops that may be apportioned to said city, ap-
proved June eighteenth, eighteen hundred and
sixty-three, and the various supplements thereto,
are hereby confirmed, ratified and legalized, and
all acts or things done by virtue of said ordinance,
to be legal, binding, and of full effect.
