the certificate of the Commissioner of the number
of days of his employment or actual service.

Vacancy to
be filled.
|
Sec. 17. And be it enacted, That in the event of
the death, resignation or disability of the Commis-
sioner the County Commissioners shall fill such
vacancy, at the next regular meeting, after they
have been informed of such vacancy.
|

Authorized
to pay.
|
Sec. 18. And be it enacted, That all expenses,
not herein specially enumerated, incidental to the
Commissioner hereby created, shall be certified to
the County Commissioners, with proper vouchers,
who shall pay the same; and for the purpose of
providing the means of carrying out the provisions
of this act the said County Commissioners are
hereby authorized and required to levy upon the
taxable property of Baltimore county, to be in-
cluded in the levy for eighteen hundred and sixty-
four, the sum of three thousand dollars, which

sum is hereby appropriated to that object; pro-
vided, nevertheless, that if the said sum of three
thousand dollars should not be required to com-
plete the work for which this commission was
made, so much thereof as shall remain unexpend-
ed shall be carried to the credit of the school fund
for Baltimore county.

Meetings.
|
Sec. 19. And be it enacted, That the Commis-
sioner hereby appointed shall meet from day to

day; provided, however, that the whole time oc-
cupied by the said Commissioner in the discharge
of the duties provided for by this act shall not ex-
ceed three hundred days.

Extract of
original deeds
to be furnished
|
Sec. 20. And be it enacted, That any person or
persons interested in any lands in the county afore-
said, and the original deed or deeds thereof, and
the record thereof, have both been burnt or de-
stroyed, upon application to the Clerk of the Court
of Appeals for an extract or extracts of the said
deed or deeds, so as aforesaid destroyed, the Clerk
is hereby requested to furnish to the party or par-
ties so applying for such extract or extracts a copy
or copies of the same, under the seal of his office,
at the cost and expense of the person or persons so
applying for the same, as aforesaid, and the said
person or persons may have the same extract or
