company to issue any notes, token, scrip, devise
or other evidence of debt, to be used as a currency.

Reservation.

Sec. 14. And be it enacted, That all the pow-
ers, rights and privileges granted to said company
by the different sections of this act may be modified
or repealed by the Legislature of this State at
pleasure.

In force.

Sec. 15. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

 

CHAPTER 119.

Passed Mar.
4, 1864.

AN ACT to refund to Thomas Sudler, late Sheriff
of Somerset county, a sum of money erroneously
paid into the Treasury.

Comptroller
authorized to
refund.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is
hereby directed to issue his warrant on the Trea-
surer, to pay to Thomas Sudler late Sheriff of Somer-
set county, or his order, the sum of fifty, dollars
erroneously paid by said Sudler as Sheriff as afore-
said into the Treasury of Maryland, being one
half the fine imposed upon Edward Ford, by the
Circuit Court for Somerset county, at October
term eighteen hundred and sixty.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.
