AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and thirty-
five of the fourth Article of the Code of Public
Local Laws, and to insert the following section
in lieu thereof, relating to the compensation of
the Criers of the Court of Common Pleas and
Superior Court of Baltimore.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the section one hundred and
thirty-five of the fourth Article of the Code of
Public Local Laws be and the same is hereby re-
pealed, and the following section is inserted in lieu
thereof, as follows: The' Register of the city of
Baltimore shall pay to the Crier of the Superior
Court of Baltimore city, and the Crier of the Court
of Common Pleas' for Baltimore city, the sum of
fifteen hundred dollars per annum, in monthly
instalments of one hundred and twenty-five dol-
lars at the end of each and every month, as and
tor their respective salaries, on the certificate of
the Clerks of said Courts that said Criers have per-
formed their several duties as Criers of said Courts
for the time so certified by said Clerks.
