CHAPTER 98.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article, eighth,
entitled, Cecil county Public Local Laws.
|
Section added.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the following section on roads
be added to Article eight of the Code of Public
Local Laws entitled, "Roads," and be arranged
under the head of roads in said article :

Penalty.
|
Sec. 180. No person shall fire any gun, pistol
or firelock of any kind on or within twenty yards
of any public road, street, bridge, causeway or
highway in Cecil county, under a penalty of not
less than five nor more than twenty dollars, to be
recovered in the same manner as prescribed in sec-
tion one hundred and seventy-seven of Article
eight, hereinbefore mentioned.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 99.

AN ACT to incorporate the town of Grantsville,
in Allegany county.
|
Incorporated.
|
SECTION I. S e it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the citizens of the town of
Grantsville, in Allegany county, shall be and, they
are hereby constituted and made a body corporate
by the name of the Commissioners of Grantsville,
with all the privileges of a body corporate, and
to have a common seal and perpetual succession.
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the free male
white citizens of Grantsville aforesaid, of the age
of twenty-one years and upwards, being citizens of
the United States, who have resided in the said
town for and during the space of six months next
