hereby vested with all the powers granted in their
original charter to effect said object, and are charged
with the same duties and liable to the same penal-
ties imposed by their charter.

May increase
capital stock.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That said com-
pany be empowered to increase their capital stock
to forty thousand dollars, ($40,000.)

May change
location.
|
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Board
of Directors of said company be and are hereby
authorized from time to time to change the location
of their toll gates as the necessities or convenience
of said company may require.
|
Time of elec-
tion of officers.
|
Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That the elec-
tion of the officers for the management of said com-
pany shall be held on the second Monday of Jan-
uary, in each and every year, al such place as the
Board of Directors may appoint,

Sec. 5. And be it further enacted, That this act
shall take effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money to pay
Job Evans and Son a sum of money for altering
and fitting up five Committee Rooms in the State
House.

Authorized to
pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Asssem-
bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer is hereby di-
rected to pay, on the warrant of the Comptrol-
ler, to Job Evans and Son, the sum of five hun-
dred and eighty dollars and forty-five cents, in
full, for altering and fitting five Committee Rooms
in the State House, in the year eighteen hundred
and sixty three.

Sec. 2 . And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.
