AN ACT to incorporate the Grant Coal and1 Goal
Oil and Lumber Company of Allegany County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,

Provisos.
|
provided, the quantity of land held by it at any
one time shall not exceed twenty thousand acres
in Allegany county, and fifty acres out of said
county; and said corporate body shall also have
power to make all by-laws, rules and regulations
it may deem necessary; provided, they are not in-
consistent with the laws of this State or of the
United States, and shall also have power to ap-
point and .dismiss at its pleasure, as many agents
or servants as it may think proper.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That to enable said
company to transport the products of their lands,
mines, works and manufactories to market, it shall
