records shall be deeded and taken to be parcel of
the records of sajd office, and shall be available to
all purposes as if they had been completed by the
said Turner during his continuance in office afore-
said.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Judge,
be and he is hereby authorized and requested to
examine and adjust the claim of the said Har-
desty for compensation for completing said records,
and for completing the same or such part thereof,
as shall appear to him to be faithfully and pro-
perly 'made up, he shall allow to the said Har-
desty after" the rates to which the said Turner
would have been entitled if he had completed said
records during his term of office.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That on the adjust-
ment of the said claim, and on the filing of the
certificate of the said Judge to that effect in the
office of the Comptroller, it shall be the duty of
ihe said Comptroller, to draw his draft on the
Treasurer in favor of the said Hardesty for the
amount, which shall be awarded to him as afore-
said to be paid out of any money in the Treasury
not otherwise appropriated, and that for the pay-
ment of said claim, a sum not exceeding ten thou-
sand dollars, be and the same is hereby 'appro-
priated.
