TITLE I.— OF SUPERVISION.
CHAPTER I.

Board of edu-
cation.

SECTION 1. The supervision and control of Public
Instruction shall be vested in a State Board of
Education, consisting of the Governor, Lieutenant
Governor, Speaker of the House of Delegates and
the State Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Sec. 2. In a State Superintendent of Public In-
struction, appointed by the Governor, subject to
the confirmation of the Senate.

Sec. 3. In Boards of School Commissioners for
the city of Baltimore and for each county.

CHAPTER II.— OF THE BOARD OF EDU-
CATION.

When to meet.

SECTION 1. The State Board of Education for
the purpose of promoting the interests of Public
Instruction, shall hold regular meetings on the
first Wednesday in March, June, September and
December of each year, and special meetings as
often as the Governor may direct.

Sec. 2. The Board shall supervise all colleges
and schools that receive any State donation or are
incorporated by act of the General Assembly, and
require annual reports which shall be referred to
